After finishing a degree in Fine art I realised that although I enjoyed the process of painting and drawing it was the initial design aspects that I most enjoyed, paint being a very liberal medium but not the most forgiving. Any mistakes made proved very hard to undo. As my course progressed I started to design my paintings in more and more depth, self teaching myself photoshop and illustrator. I found that my degree nurtured my creative side but did not cater to the technical side of design that I wanted to pursue. I spent the next year doing an intensive course in graphic design that focused mainly on software, giving me the opportunity to implement the previous skills I had learnt and a great balance between creative and technical ability.
